The solution also tracks warranty details including start dates, duration, and expiry dates, which can be viewed in the “Management” tab on each computer’s form. In the same tab, users can enable or disable this option manually.

Key Warranty Information Management

i-Vertix IT Asset Management facilitates the management of three key pieces of warranty information:

  • Warranty Start Date: The date on which the warranty for the equipment begins.
  • Warranty Information: Text providing details or qualifications regarding the warranty.
  • Warranty Period: The duration of the warranty, Typically expressed in months.

When both a “warranty start date” and a “warranty period” are set, the system will display the “Expires on” information. Notably, this information will be highlighted in red If the expiration date is earlier than the current date. It shows which assets’ warranties are expiring in less than 30 days, providing an insight for timely action.

All defined dates can be managed automatically based on changes in the equipment’s status. Moreover, certain dates can be copied from other dates for ease of management.

Configurable Notifications

i-Vertix ITAM allows users to configure notifications for hardware warranty expirations. Users can define notification format and recipients within the notification management section. Furthermore, They can enable or disable this option, set default values, and control notification timing as needed.

This feauture of i-Vertix ITAM helps organizations understand their IT assets’ lifecycle and plan for timely replacements or upgrades.
